Biography

Sammy is a 19 year old artist from North London. She first started playing guitar when she was 8 years old and she has sang all of her life, influenced by various old generation artists such as David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, and  Madonna. At the age of 14 she decided that she wanted to make a career out of being a singer - songwriter, so she began to upload her own songs onto Youtube. At 17 she signed a deal with a record company and soon after produced her first album 'Rush'

Rush

Rush got number 6 in the UK Top 40 and gained Sammy a huge following of fans who she keeps in touch with on Twitter. The album also got reviewed in NME which named Sammy as a new up and coming artist and one to watch out for.

Velvet Elvis

Sammy's latest single is called Velvet Elvis, it is an alternative quirky style song that illustrates an obsession with a male figure - Elvis. It has clear inspiration from her favourite music artists that she grew up listening to. The song has a clear direction and shows all of the different vintage elements that Sammy has grown up with helping to create a vintage feel for her song.
